7 Pick Me Ups Guaranteed To Get You Feeling Empowered Again
Feeling Blue? Today’s share will hopefully have you feeling empowered again.
Let’s get going… it’s time to start feeling inspired, excited, and empowered now.
7 – Pick Me Ups Guaranteed To Get You Feeling Empowered Again!
1) Get up and move! Exercise has been proven to release “feel good” endorphins in our brains, so don’t just sit there – jump rope, take a walk, or go to the gym and sweat, or my personal favorite, hula-hoop for 10 minutes! The point is, movement and motion energize and uplift you mentally and surprisingly enough, physically.
2) Read something positive and inspiring, especially biographies of successful people whom managed to overcome incredible obstacles and still achieved their goals. It helps to know that someone somewhere has been where you are and they got past it and actually flourished because of the challenges.
Here are a couple of suggestions of inspiring women with great stories: Estee Lauder, Mary Kay Ash, Oprah Winfrey, Debbi Fields Rose, JK Rowling and with a little internet research, you will find MANY more.
3) Call or visit a support person or your “Entrepreneur Buddy,” take a break and chat or lunch with someone who understands your goals and is supportive of them. It is so important to have people who believe in you, understand your mission and perhaps, can even identify with the challenges you face being a self-employed woman.
4) Music – Crank It Up! Music with an upbeat tempo and a positive, empowerment message can really lift you out of your doldrums. Dance around, feel the joy of the day and sing along to your favorite song – you’ll be feeling great in no time at all.
5) Remember your WHY. Get re-connected with your reason for being self-employed, review your long term goals and let them inspire you to keep moving forward. Sit down and journal about your feelings, hopes, and dreams and re-visit your “vision board” to get you back on the fast-track of success!
6) Meditate and listen to your inner voice as it guides you back to “center.” Be still, calm and remember to breathe deep, cleansing breaths as you allow the burdens of the day to melt away – its always nice to light a few candles and sit in a warm bubble bath as you relax and melt away your cares.
7) Watch a funny movie and laugh your troubles away! Did you know that laughter really is the best medicine for depression and physical ailments? It’s true; laughter is good for you and just like exercise and it allows good-feeling endorphins to be released into your bloodstream. Take a drive to the local park and watch the children as they laugh and play…you’ll be smiling again in no time!
That just about sums it up!
